Cooler Master's red-hot loanblend out of use-loop coolers aims to fix the unrivalled weakness of CLCs—they can ne'er drop infra the ambient room temperature.
That's because blocked-curl coolers depend on a series of pumps, radiators, and hoses to lower the temperature. Cooler Master's new hybrid cooler helps break that barrier away integrating a thermoelectric cooler (or Police detective ice chest) into a standard CLC.
Thermoelectric coolers rely on the Peltier force to take down temperatures. TECs are commonly found in those little sixer-pack mini-fridges that keep your soda chilled. Cooler Maestro's approach doesn't apply the Police detective directly to the CPU. Instead, it cools the liquid inside of a more conventional CLC cooler.
It appears to work though. On the demo unit at Computex, we measured the CLC at 64 degrees, compared to an ambient elbow room temperature about 15 degrees hotter. You can see how the Cooler Master works in this thermal image we snapped. Dark colours symbolize ice chest temperatures.
Gordon Mah Ung In a 75 degree way, the new Coolermaster CLC actuallly runs at a depress temperature thanks to the merged TEC.
Cooler Master officials told us it expects to offer about 300 watt TDP of cooling. A characteristic 240mm CLC might hit 180W.
The main problems with electricity cooling are condensation and higher office consumption needs. In Ice chest Master's case, condensation International Relations and Security Network't a huge issue as at that place's no steer contact between the CPU and the TEC unit.
